Oswald was born in 1625 and baptised on 23 August 1625 at St Mary's Church, Manchester, St Denys and St George, Manchester, England.Oswalde, son of Oswald Mosley, was baptised on 23 August 1625 in Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England.[1]
He married Anne Leaver (Lever) in 1647 at Ancoats, Manchester, Lancashire. He married again circa 1652, as he leaves one third of his estate to his second wife [not named-see will].
They were to have two children, sadly Anne died in the same year as her second daughter Elizabeth was born, 1649.
Oswalde died approximately 12th Dec, 1653 and was buried on the 15th December, 1653. "Manchester, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1573-1812 (Cathedral)"

His will passed probate on 8 March 1653 and was dated Julian 1653 but today is reported as Gregorian 1654.
His Will transcript reads as follows:
Into thy Handes I Commend my Spirit for thou hast Redeemed itt o lord God of truth I Oswald Mosley of Manchester in the County of Lancaster being att this present but of indifferent health though xfect [perfect] memory praysed bee god. Considering the certaynty of death and uncertainty of the tyme thereof I hereby declare ordayne and publishe this my last will and Testament as followeth ffirst I committ my body to Christian buriall in hope of Resurrection to Eternall life through the Merritts of Christ my Savior And concerning such xponall [personal] & fate as Almighty God of his .....I do allott and bequeath one full third part thereafter my debts and ffuneralls first discharged unto my lovinge wife in lieue of her xpt [parte] and ?? thereof accordinge to the custome And one other third xpe to all my children as many as god shall please to give mee equally to bee divided amonst them And the other third xpe I give to my two Children by my former wife viz Anne and Elizabeth to bee equally divided betwixt them And if any of my children shall dye before they attayne the lawfull age of one and twenty years or bee p[re]ferred in Marriage my will and minde is that the portion of them shall go to the survivors or survifor of them equally to be divided amonst them And I do nominate and appoynt my loving brothers Nicholas Mosley and Edward Mosley and my loving brother in law John Lightbowne Esq Executors of this my Will.

Oswald did not mention daughter Margaret specifically other than "one other third part to all my children" in his Will dated 9 Dec 1653.[3] He then nominates his two daughters Anne & Elizabeth by his former wife.
