Biography
He is a descendant of three Mayflower Passengers, Richard Warren, John Cooke and his father Francis Cooke. [1]
Obituary
Mr. Wilbur Mosher died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock from heart failure, resulting from chronic liver and stomach trouble, at his residence in Gilman, aged nearly 72 years.
Mr. Mosher had been, during his lifetime, a very active and competent business man, mostly in railroad affairs, having been for a number of years agent and operator at Ackley, on the Illinois Central. He was highly esteemed, wherever known for his many good qualities. He was a Mason of unusual zeal, and stood high in the order. His wife proceeded him to the celestial city only a few months ago, and since that time he has seemed to live only for that blissful consummation of a wonderfully harmonious and happy union on earth with his loved companion.
He united with the First Congregational church of Gilman a week ago last Sabbath. [2]
