Biography
Reuben Mosely is a part of US Black heritage.
Reuben was born in 1873 in Mississippi. He was the son of Sallie Moselely. In 1880 he was living with his widowed mother and siblings in Choctaw County, Mississippi.[1]
Reuben married Lucy Day around 1893.[2]
In 1900 Reuben was living with wife Lucy and 2 children in New Orleans, Louisiana.[3] In 1910 Reuben and Lucy had 5 sons in their home in New Orleans where he drove a furniture wagon.[4]
By 1930 Reuben had remarried and moved to Chicago, Illinois where he was living with wife Viola and three daughters.[5]
He passed away in 1955 in Cook County, Illinois.[6]
