Gerry, Thank you for your update on Howard Leard, I've wondered how and why some Leard's wound up in Saskatchewan .....

No problem, Ron. No idea who Howard Leard was; I was simply updating cemeteries in Saskatchewan, a project of mine.

Greetings! Are you aware Wikitree has a Poland Project? Check out our page to see what we are doing in Wikitree, how you can help and utilize the Project: Poland/Resource Library to see what information is out there to help you in your research. If you are new to Wikitree and are having a difficult time getting started, check out a Welcome to Wikitree page which will help you with the basics of Wikitree.

The Poland Project is very busy categorizing villages in Poland. If we have created a village category for you, please help us by adding it across other profiles you manage, where applicable. You can also assist us by finding and adding it to other Wikitree profiles from the same village through the Find link at the top right of your page. Scroll to the bottom, "Search for Any Text". Categorizing = connecting users or profiles. We appreciate any help you have to offer!

Hi Gerry, this cemetery category you recently created Category: Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sinnett, Saskatchewan needs it's location category created as well (see red link). Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Regards, Margaret, Categorization project volunteer.

Hi Gerry

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! I also saw that you made 43 contributions, Thank you!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Let me know. I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders.

Thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles along with adding your own family branch to our huge ancestry tree here on WikiTree!!

Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

P.S. I don't work with GEDCOMs, but I understand that if nothing is done within 30 days of an upload, the file is deleted. So, if you can't find the file you uploaded in September, you may need to upload it again. Cheers, Liz

Yes, I would like to volunteer. I am a retired engineer, living in Toronto, Canada. I'm looking to research my Netherlands ancestors, as well as my wife's Germans from Russia roots.

I agree with the mission and am willing to abide by the rules here.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
