Biography

Clifton Linual Morrison was born on 8 Oct 1918 in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa. ^[1] His parents are Clifton L Morrison, Sr. and Cleora Brewer. He is seen with his parents and siblings in the 1920 US Census record of Des Moines County, Iowa and the 1940 US Census record of Chase County, Nebraska.^[2][3] Clifton obtained the nicknme Kicki but it is not known how this happened. He married Alma Louise Powers at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California. ^[4] Alma was a waitress at an ice cream parlor at her marriage to Clifton. He was in the US Naval Reserve residing in San Francisco, California. She was residing at Long Beach, California.

Cliff and Alma relocated from California to Nebraska where Cliff grew up. This is where they raised their family. They have five children. Four are still living. Cliff was the sherriff of Chase County, Nebraska while Alma assisted in the sheriff's office.

Alma passed away (age 58) on 10 May 1983 in Dundy County, Nebraska. ^[5] She was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, Chase, Nebraska. ^[6] Cliff died (age 76) on 24 Apr 1995 in Imperial, Chase, Nebraska ^[7] and was buried beside Alma in Mount Hope Cemetery. ^[8]
