Biography

Albert was born in 1841. He was the son of Peter Morin and Jane Howse. He passed away in 1841.

Albert went off to fight in the American Civil war and signed up to fight for the union in April 1861. His mother found him and because he was a minor he was discharged in Feb 1862. She brought him back to Canada. The next time he ran off to enroll, he changed his surname to White so his mother could not find him and kept that name the rest of his life.

En 1880, il est dit "keeper at the hospital" à New York. Il est recensé avec son épouse Mary A., 30 ans, née en Irlande, et ses enfants: Edward, 5; Jane, 3; George, 2 ans et Florence, bébé. Selon ce recensement, George ne serait pas son fils; son lien avec le chef de famille est autre que filial... Il s'agit d'une erreur d'inscription du recenseur, puisqu'en 1900, il est bel et bien inscrit comme le fils d'Albert. [2] Et ses parents sont bien identifiés lors de son mariage en 1902. [3]

En seconde noce, le 8 juin 1884 à Manhattan, il épouse Frances Gleason. [4] Ils auront au moins 2 enfants:

  1. Albert Napoleon Jr, 19 nov. 1887 - 1949
  2. Gertrude, 2 fév. 1891 - 1956

En 1900, à Manhattan, Albert et Frances vivent avec les enfants suivants: du premier lit; June (Jane), 24; George; 23 et Florence B, 20 ans; du second mariage: Albert, 13 et Gertrude L, 9 ans. [5]

Albert décède le 9 décembre 1901à Manhattan, New York. [6] Le lieu de son inhumation n'est pas connu. [7]
