A friendly, witty, and engaging person with a welcoming smile, Jeannine loved her life and made friends everywhere she went. Jeannine loved a bargain and was a familiar face at Goodwill, Shaw's and Marden's. She was active in many volunteer organizations, including Y Wives, Yettes, the Women's Hospital Association, WLU, the CCD programs at Sacred Heart and St. Phillips and the Girl Scouts.
She married her best friend James Betsch in 1955. Their life together was filled with family and friends. Theirs was the home were everyone gathered for a Christmas Eve open house, a Halloween party, or a late summer corn roast. Jeannine even made shelling peas for a penny a cup a fun activity for the neighborhood children. And every Monday morning at 10:30 for over 55 years the “Coffee Ladies” could be found gathered around her table.
She is survived by her husband, their five children, 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
