Biography
Rosalie was born on 10 Jan 1824 in St-François, Beauce, Lower Canada, to parents Pierre Morin and Rose Fortin. She was baptised the next day in the parish of St-François-de-Beauce with Joseph Jacques and Marie Morin standing as godparents[1].
On 1 Feb 1848 Rosalie Morin, daughter of Pierre Morin and Rosalie Fortin, married Pierre Mercier, the son of Augustin Mercier and Josephe Mathieu, at the parish of St-François-de-Beauce, Beauceville. Witnessed by the bride's father Pierre Morin and brothers of the groom, David Mercier and Joseph Mercier[2].
