Marie Adélaïde Morin was born on 14 Jul 1839 at Shipton Township, and was baptized on 8 Sep 1839 at Saint-Michel de Sherbrooke, Bas-Canada.[1] She was the daughter of Louis Marie Morin and Marie Ermine Beaudreau dit Labonte.

Death
According to family history, Mary Adelaide spoke only French. In the 1880 census for Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska her brother's last name is shown as Maren. On her son Louis Octave Barnum's death certificate, it is listed as Moran. On the birth records of her daughter Elisa Marie in Canada her last name is Morin. The 1880 census lists her age as 41 and shows her born in Canada. In the 1900 census for Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, she lived with her son Louis Octave Barnum at 1823 North 23rd Street and was a widow, month of birth given as July. She is also listed as having 5 children with three still living in 1900.
