John Morgan(s) c.1795-1855
John married Jane Thomas (both of Llanfihangel Genau'r Glyn) on 14th March 1817. The witnesses were William Jones and Morgan Morgans.
Their first son (John) was born in June of 1817 and their abode is written as Penrhyncoch. Other child baptisms and burials show that they were living at Hen Elgar in 1824, Ty gwyn, Elerch between 1825 and 1833, and Penbont, Elerch in 1836.
On the Census of 1841 and 1851 John Morgans and family were living in the cottage Llyn Loew, which still stands today. (built around 1800).

Anne Morgans married Thomas Evans in 1851 and their son John Evans was born later that year.
John Morgan was buried on the 12th October 1855. The Monument Inscription at St. Michael`s Church in Llanfihangel Genau`r Glyn (Llandre) reads:
Sacred to the memory of John Morgan late of Llynloyw who left this troublesome world on the 8th day of October 1855 in the 66 year of his age."
Adjoined are the graves for his sons William (1824-1825) and John (1817-1825). Son John died four days after his brother William. The graves are very close to the lowest corner of the church building (near the shed).
After 1859 John`s widow Jane moved to Pontgoch Cottages, Tyrymynach and lived with their son David and grandson John Evans, as can be seen on the Census for 1861.
