Leah was born about 1855. She is the daughter of Jane Morgans and James Griffiths.

In 1876 Leah married Thomas Jones. (Marriage GRO ref: Aberystwyth, Vol. 11B, Page 89). It reads:

"1876. Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of Llanbadarn in the County of Cardigan / 394 / 1st Sept. / Thomas Jones, 21, Bachelor, Farm Servant, Court Farm, Penrhyncoch, Isaac Jones, Miner. / Leah Morgans, 22, Spinster, Cefnllwyd. James Morgans, Farmer." Witnesses: David Jones and Margaret Lewis

Leah's father was James Griffiths, a farmer, but she was brought up for many years by her maternal grandfather, Harry Morgans. Perhaps "James Morgans" is a combination of the two?
