Biography

Kyle Lee Morgan was born 12 October 1929 at Greeneville, Greene, Tennessee, USA.[1] He was the son of General Duckett Morgan and Ora Genevieve Thompson.

Kyle joined the United States Air Force in 1947. He was stationed in Texas, Wyoming, Florida, Washington DC, Hawaii, Ohio, New Jersey, Japan, Italy and Arkansas prior to retiring in 1967. He was Honorably Discharged in 1977.[2] In 1955, Kyle received a letter of appreciation from Floyd Springer, Jr., Disarmament Staff, The White House, Washington, D.C. expressing appreciation for Kyle’s involvement in the “intensive effort and long hours devoted to the preparation, construction, maintenance and promotion of the Aerial Inspection Exhibit in New York,” an educational project under President Eisenhower’s “open sky” proposal.

Kyle married (living) in 1951 at Camp Springs, Prince George's County, Maryland. They divorced in 1964 at Spotsylvania County, Virginia, United States.[3] They had 4 children.

Kyle had at least one additional child born out of wedlock. DNA has been used to confirm the half sibling relationship.

Kyle passed on 10 July 2011 at Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, USA.[4][5] He is interned at the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, USA.[6][7]
