Biography

Betty Annette Morgan was born on June 23, 1964 in the Charleston Naval Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The seventh of eight children, she was born with an eye defect that left her immobile for several months. Once her eyesight was restored by surgery, she became very mobile. At the age of seven, she confiscated her brother's banana seat bike and rode around the front yard for about seven hours until she learned to stay on the bike by herself. At the age of nine, Fay Ann Bechtler Morgan (Betty's mother) passed away from a stroke due to high blood pressure. Geraldlee Maurice Hudson and Edith Adella Shirah Hudson adopted Betty soon after Fay's death moving her from John's Island, South Carolina, to North Charleston, South Carolina where Betty graduated from North Charleston High School in 1982. Soon after Betty met her husband Ronald Fox at a skating rink. After their marriage and after Ron got out of the Navy, the couple moved to Puyallup, Washington.

Betty

You solved a mystery in my family that I was searching for for years. Now I can rest knowing what happened to my great grandmother and now I have more cousins to find. GOD bless you.

Hi Betty, thanks for the work on Cordelia Hazelton. I have that source too and it does give her mother as also called Cordelia which she had said several times. Unfortunately, the MF won't take that as a source and I have searched endlessly on all cordelias in late 1700's in northern NE. Thanks for trying.

Thank you Betty. Any information you can give me for Zadie Storey Baham, I would love and appreciate. Marsha
Thank you for your help!
Thanks Betty for Responding so quickly to my question about Elizabeth Rebecca Grayum. However the death certificate is for her son, Henry Kelly Duke. If you have any information or suggestions about finding the place and date of Elizabeth's death I would love to know about it.

Betty seems to have a way of finding information others (including myself) overlook. That had led me to discover a relative ancestor I'd pretty much given up on. Now she's given me another set of possibilities to consider as I try and search out who my grandmother's (who was adopted) biological parents may be.

The clues you sent me were enough to finally solve what became of Hans Ulrich Gnehm. Because of your helpful hints to other family I discovered who his wife was, what he did for a living over his lifetime, who he married and when she died and where she was buried and when Hans (John) died from what and where he's buried as well. Anything I can do to return the favor just let me know!
