Biography

Shirley Corbin Morgan was born on the 28th of December 1878 in Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland. He was the son of William Morgan and Effie Salter.

• When war with Spain was declared in 1898, the Maryland National Guard was mobilized. Shirley C. Morgan joined the Guard as a 2nd Lieutenant on the 13th of May 1898. He served in the Company "D", 1st Maryland Battalion, Maryland National Guard during the Spanish American War. ^{[1] [2]}

• 1st Lieutenant Shirley C. Morgan was released from Active military duty on the 5th of July 1905. ^[3]

• Miss Aronton M. Butt and Mr Shirley Corbin Morgan of Baltimore were married on Tuesday evening, the 2nd of April 1918. ^[4]

• Shirley passed away on the 28th of July 1965 in Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland. He was buried in the Baltimore National Cemetery, Baltimore City, Maryland (Plot: Section : J, Site: 1253). Inscription: 1st LT, CO D, 1 REGT, MD INF, SP AM WAR" ^[5]
