Biography

William Gregory Morgan was the son of Elizabeth Gregory and Griffith Morgan. He was born in April 1882 and listed slightly different dates of birth on different records - 22 Apr 1882 on his marriage record^[1], 15 Apr 1882 on his WWI record^[2], and 13 Apr 1882 on his WWII record.^[3] Greg married Maud Metz on 3 Jul 1901 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.^[1] The couple had two children:^[4]

2. Edith Morgan

Greg and Maud divorced on 4 Sep 1923, and he married Ida May Barnhart on 27 Aug 1934 in Minooka, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania.^[5] They had been living together as common-law partners since at least Apr 1930.^[6] Greg worked as a coal miner.^[1][2][6]
