Fred B. Morgan, 89, died at Hainesville Monday afternoon Sept. 1, at the home of 'his daughter, Mrs. Roy Johnston, after a lingering illness. A son of the late John and Julia Morgan, he was a farmer and had lived in the community all his life, being well known and highly respected by old, and young. He was a deacon of the Upper Hainesviile United Baptist Church. Mr. Morgan is survived by a dauughter, Mrs. Johnston; a brother, Randolph Morgan, Augusta, Me.; five grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 3, with prayers at the home of Mrs. Johnston, followed by service at the Baptist Church at Upper Hainesville conducted by Rev. Brooks. There were many floral tributes. Interment was in the Upper Hainesville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marcus Morgan, Emery Morgan, Harold Morgan, Eldon Morgan, Partlow Morgan and G. Arthur Morgan.
