Biography
John, a son of Evan Morgan (-1763), a Welshman, and Joanna Biles.
On September 4, 1765 he married Mary (1742-1785), daughter of Thomas Hopkinson (1709-1751) and Mary Johnson (1718-1804). They had no children.
Surgeon General John Morgan M.D. performed Patriotic Service in the American Revolution.
The American physician John Morgan (1735-1789) established the first medical department at a colonial college and was medical director of the Continental Army. Surgeon general of the Continental armies during the American Revolution, [1]
