Harold David Morgan was born on 11th October 1898 at Woonona, a suburb of the City of Wollongong, New South Wales (Australia).
He was the son of Thomas Morgan and Ellen Sweeney.

Harold was commissioned as an officer in Australia's Commonwealth Military Force (Militia) and, as a Major, commanded the 9th Australian Infantry Battalion whilst it garrisoned Brisbane's northern suburbs and then Caloundra, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
His next of kin was listed as his wife, Philomena.

He passed away, aged 83 years and nine days, on 20th October 1981 at Hervey Bay.
His ashes are placed in the Maryborough Crematorium Memorial Park, Maryborough, Queensland.
