On the breaking out of the Civil War in 1861, Mr. Morgan enlisted in Company G, Fourteenth Pennsylvania Cavalry, and served in the Union army for over a year. Three of his brothers, Rush, Jefferson and Frank, enlisted at the same time, and the two latter, both of whom are now deceased, served through the entire conflict.
