Biography

Sybil was the daughter of Thomas Morgan and Elsbeth Whitney:

Thomas, of Arxton, Kingston, Herefordshire, England, was born 1495 to William ap Dafydd and his wife Elsbeth Morgan, daughter of Thomas ap Morgan of Langston (b about 1445 in Pencoed Manor, Llanfarthin, Gwent, Cymru) and his wife Jane Herbert, heiress of Itton (born about 1457 in Itton, St Arvan, Gwent, Cymru)

Elsbeth Whitney, born about 1497 in Whitney, Herefordshire, was the daughter of James Whitney and his wife Blanche Milbourne, daughter of Simon Milbourne and his wife Jane Baskerville.

Sybil married Hugh Travanion of Carhayes, son of Hugh Travanion of Carhayes and his wife Elizabeth Pollard.

Their daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret, married Robert Cary 1st Earl of Monmouth and John Trevor of Plasteg, respectively.
