Biography

Sarah Ann Morgan was born in 04 May 1873 at Boorowa, New South Wales, Australia. She was the daughter of John Morgan and Annie Matilda (Pearsall) Morgan. ^[1]

William Morgan married Sarah Ann Morgan in 1894 at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. ^[2]

Sarah Ann (Morgan) Morgan passed away 09 August 1909 at Cowra, New South Wales, Australia. ^[3] She is buried at Frogmore General Cemetery, Frogmore, New South Wales, Australia. ^[4]

Obituary

"Frogmore." The Burrowa News (NSW : 1874 - 1951) 13 August 1909

The Great Architect of the Universe has again visited our district and called another from amongst us to his home beyond. He chose Sarah A. Morgan (wife of Mr. Wm. Morgan, and daughter of the late Mr. John Morgan.) She has been called home in the prime of life, being only 36 years of age, and left a sorrowing husband, 4 children, a loving mother, brothers and sisters, and many friends to mourn. But we must resign ourselves to the will of our Great Creator "Thy way, not mine O Lord, Thy will be done."

All human power could do was done to retain her life, she was taken to the Cowra hospital, and after a brief illness of an internal complaint passed away quietly on the evening of the 8th inst.

The funeral was one of the largest ever seen at Frogmore, showing the high esteem which the people of the district held her in. Her body was conveyed to Frogmore on the 10th inst., and laid in the Methodist portion of the Frogmore Cemetery at 2 p.m. The service was most impressively conducted by the Rev. Walkden-Brown.

We sincerely offer our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved.
