Robert was born 3/15/1836 in Connecticut. His father was Frederick Morgan and his mother was Caroline Watrous, both from Connecticut. In 1850 Robert was living with his parents and siblings in Colchester, New London, Connecticut where his father was a physician. Robert married mary "Molly" Ripley Rogers in San Francisco, California in 1866. By 1867 Robert was registered to vote in Sonoma, California. In 1870 Robert and Mary were living with their children in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California where Robert was a farmer. Robert died 8/23/1877 and is buried with family members in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural MC 206). Robert and Mary had a daughter named Alice who is buried with Robert and there is another gravestone labeled "our baby" in the same plot.
