Biography

Richard was born in 1815 in Habersham County, Georgia, USA. He was the son of John Morgan and Sarah Watts.

Marriage 28 July 1838 • Walker County, Georgia, USA to Mahanna Wyatt (1815–1882). Lewis Hogg Fargason performed the ceremony of marriage on 28 July 1838 at the "residents of Mrs. Wyatt" according to the certificate in the Bible. Fargason was the husband of Mary Wyatt, a sister to Mahanna.

Note regarding marriage location: there is no public record available. 1883: The courthouse at LaFayette was burned between 2 February and 6 September. No county courthouse records survive prior to 1883.
