Lauren was born on August 7, 1857 in Eugene, Indiana and a son of William Morgan and Elizabeth (Unknown). Lauren married Martha Elizabeth Bretches in 1884 in Kansas.He passed away on November 16, 1939 and buried in the Round Mound Cemetery in Cedar Vale, Chautauqua County, Kansas. [1]

When Lawrence Smith Morgan was born on 7 August 1857, his father, William Morgan, was 32 and his mother, Elizabeth Ladd, was 22. He married Martha Elizabeth Bretches in 1884. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Granada, Prowers, Colorado, United States in 1920 and Carlton, Prowers, Colorado, United States in 1930. He died on 16 November 1939, in Kansas, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Round Mound Cemetery, Cedar Vale, Chautauqua, Kansas, United States.
