Biography

Birth and Parents

Moses Morgan was born in Massachusetts.

Moses, the fourth son and seventh of ten children of Joseph Morgan and Deborah Hart was born on 14 October 1691 at Beverly, Massachusetts.^[1]

Marriages and Children

Moses was married twice. He married 1) Patience Ashby on 12 January 1717 at Beverly Massachusetts.^[2]They had the following children:

1. Abigail Morgan (27 June 1719),^[3]
2. Jonathan Morgan (b. 6 Mar 1723), ^[4]
3. Moses Morgan (b. 25 Jan 1728), ^[5]

Moses married 2) Deborah Jackson (b. 21 May 1695, Bradford, MA)^[6]say 1729 at Beverly. They had the following children born at Beverly:

1. Deborah Morgan (b. 21 Dec 1729),^[7] m. 18 Aug 1795 at Rockingham, NH, Samuel Rowell (1728-1760)
2. Eunice Morgan (b. 1730; d. 1763),
3. Sarah Morgan (b. 1733)

Death and Burial

Moses Morgan died before 16 June 1764 when a committee is appointed to take an inventory of his estate. His will dated 11 May 1763 names wife Jane, sons Moses and Jonathan, and daughters Sarah, Deborah Cauley, Eunice Cresey, Abigail Cotton.^[8]
