Leoluchina Morello ("Amorello" in this record) is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Biagio Morello and Maria Ridulfo. Based on her reported age in 1834, Leoluchina was born around 1780, just nine years before she marries. I estimate she is born around 1770.
Leoluchina marries Cosimo Rigoglioso (“Rigugliuso”), son of the late Ciro Rigoglioso and the living Saveria d’Ira, on 8 November 1789.[1]
Maestro Cosimo and Leoluchina have at least five children: Ciro (c. 1791), Biagio (c. 1799), Bernardo (c. 1809), Calogera (c. 1812), and Giuseppe (c. 1816).
Ciro marries Anna Maria Catania on 25 June 1815.[2]
Biagio marries at least twice, first to Vincenza Pomara, on 30 August 1819.[3] He remarries to Lucia Sciortino on 8 August 1830.[4]
Calogera marries at least twice, first to Maestro Simone Gagliano, on 12 January 1834.[5]
In 1834, Maestro Cosmo Rigoglioso , 64 (b. 1770), his wife Leoluchina, 54 (b. 1780), and their unmarried sons Bernardo, 25 (b. 1809), and Giuseppe, 18 (b. 1816) live in the San Nicolo' quarter, near their married children Ciro and Calogera.[6]
Calogera remarries to Liborio Firrantello, who is also a widower, on 30 January 1841.[7]
Death
Leoluchina dies of cholera at the reported age of 46 in July 1837 after receiving last rites. Maestro Cosmo survives her.[8]
