Biography

John Robert Moorehead was the son of William and Elizabeth Moorehead. He was born on the 11th of April 1854 and baptised on the 10th of May that year. The family lived in Trichinopoly, his father was a Private in H.M. 84th Regiment. ^[1]

On the 16th of June 1875 he married Agnes Vanderholt at St Andrew's Church, Madras. ^[2]

Their daughter Leah Rebecca Moorehead was born on the 24th of March 1876 and baptised on the 20th of April that year at St Andrew's Church, Madras. ^[3]

Sadly, Robert died of consumption at the age of 22 on the 2nd Dec 1876. He was buried the next day at St Andrew's, Madras. ^[4]
