Biography

Frederick Strong Moore was born on 13 Aug. 1846 in Charlottetown, PEI to George Collings Moore (1817-1875), who was born in London, England, and Eliza Chappell (1819-1887), who was born in Charlottetown. His siblings were: Theophilus (1842-1913), Sarah (1843-1911), Margaret (1848-1932), Elizabeth (1856) and George Morton (1859).

Frederick married Eliza Bovyer (1835-1914) on 2 Mar. 1871. She was born in Charlottetown to John Bovyer (1788-1857), who was born on PEI, and Elizabeth Avard (1791-1876), who was born in Bristol, England. Frederick & Eliza were first cousins once removed (his maternal grandmother, Dorothy (Bovyer) Chappell and Eliza's father, John Bovyer, were siblings).

Frederick and Eliza had the following children:

Louis Avard (1875) Elizabeth Eugenie (1877-1954) (later changed to "Jean Elizabeth")

Frederick died in 1929 and Eliza died in 1914.
