Biography

Santa was probably born around 1805 or a little earlier ^[1], daughter of Giuseppe Montelione and Angela Gagliano ^[2]. She married Pasquale Balistrieri in 1819 ^[3] and they had several children who lived to maturity and marriage. Santa had been widowed by Pasquale and was still living as recently as 8 February 1866 ^[4].
