Santa was probably born around 1805 or a little earlier [1], daughter of Giuseppe Montelione and Angela Gagliano [2]. She married Pasquale Balistrieri in 1819 [3] and they had several children who lived to maturity and marriage. Santa had been widowed by Pasquale and was still living as recently as 8 February 1866 [4].
Birth year: based on her reported age, 32, in the 1837 birth record for daughter Angela. This would make her 14 at her marriage in 1819 -- possible -- but she was probably born a little before this 1805 estimated date.
