Alben Monnier was born in May 1851 in West Deer, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania the son of Charles Henry Monier and Harriet Vorpe . (1) At age nine (1860)and nineteen (1870) he was living in West Deer. (1,2) By 1880 he had married Mary McClleland and they continued to live until his death in West Deer. (3,4) He died in 1916 and is buried at Cheswick, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.(5,6)
