Birth and Parents: Nelwyn Mixson was born on 09 February 1932 in Alabama, United States. Her parents were Wade Franklin Mixson (1907 - ~1979) and Allie Mae (Tindol) Mixson (1908 - 1991).

Marriage: Nelwyn Mixson and James Emmit "Jimmy" Fussell were married on 19 December 1950 at Old Tabernacle Methodist Church in New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama. Reverend H. W. Rice, Jr., pastor of the church, performed the ceremony.^[2][3] They were the parents of at least two children. Son Dean Fussell died in 2015 but the other child may still be living.^[4]

Death and Burial: Nelwyn (Mixson) Fussell passed away on 17 September 2018. She was 86 years old. She was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.^[4][5]
