He married Daisy Lee Gray on 02 Mar 1940 in Tennessee, Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[3]

They were the parents of at least 3 daughters:

He died on 19 February 1992, in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 87,[6] and was buried in New Providence Cemetery, Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[7]
