Biography

Elizabeth Miller was born to Adam Miller (1743-1831) and Susannah Orth (1769-1843), of Dauphin County PA, on 10/04/1788. In 1808, she married John Benjamin Wert. They had 11 children: Simon, Elias, Maria Ann, Jonathan, Joseph, Josiah, Amos, Elisabeth, John Benjamin, and Rebecca. Elizabeth and John were active members of Wirth's Lutheran Congregation of Killinger PA. They were both buried in the new Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery at Killinger. Elizabeth died on 05/19/1871 at the age of 82 and John passed away on 02/11/1860 at the age of 74.
