Biography

Phoebe was born in 1864 to John and Phoebe Miller.

She married Christopher William Hartmeyer who was born in Germany about 1855. He immigrated to US in about 1857. Together they had children:

• May Hartmeyer 1882
• Cora Hartmeyer 1883
• John W. Hartmeyer 1885 - 1908
• Emma Hartmeyer 1887
• Katie Ellen Hartmeyer 1893
• Portia Hartmeyer abt 1905

She passed away in 1932. Her death certificate lists her husband as "C.W. Hartmeyer" of West Newton, PA. She shares a tombstone with her husband and son John W. Hartmeyer (1885 - 1908).

Research Notes

1910 census lists her as having 6 children total of which 5 survive. As John W. was the child that predeceased her, it looks like all children are accounted for.

1910 census lists William as immigrating in 1858. census lists William as immigrating in 1857. Another census says 1875, which seems to be incorrect.
