Biography

He was born 11 Apr 1919[1].

He is enumerated with his parents at 166 Leonardtown Pike, Clinton MD in 1940[2]. Their first child and son, Thomas Vincent Miller Jr. (1942-2021) was born in Dec 1942.

He and his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Miller married Clifton siblings, he with Esther Marie Clifton (1920–1996 FamilySearch Person: LV6K-BNS) on 3 September 1941 in the District of Columbia.

Thomas' home about 1940 at 9312 Leonardtown Rd
They moved into 9312 Leonardtown Rd what became Brandywine, the home of his maternal grandparents built 1920-22[3] and purchased by his father in 1940[3] from the Andersons who had bought it from his maternal grandmother in 1938[3]. This was before it was dramatically improved and modified through the years.

They are enumerated at was called "No 5"/ Old Rt 5, Clinton with their first five children and his Clifton in-laws[4]:

  1. Thomas Vincent Miller Jr. (b. 1942)
  2. Susan M Miller (b. 1944)
  3. Cynthia J. Miller (b. 1947)
  4. Melinda J. Miller (b. 1948)
  5. Nancy L. Miller (b. Jan 1950)

He died in 1991 and is buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton MD (Find A Grave: Memorial #64877412).

Some of their children believe the house was built in 1919 based on an alleged inscription in the concrete sidewalk which doesn't appear to show in the 1922 photo and perhaps a later addition with an incorrect date.
