Jim Wayne Miller (October 21, 1936 – August 18, 1996) was an American poet and educator who had a major influence on literature in the Appalachian region.
James Wayne Miller was born in Leicester, Buncombe County, North Carolina, United States Oct 21, 1936.
In 1940, James Wayne (4), was a single son, in the household of James Woodrow Miller (25) in Leicester Township, Buncombe, North Carolina, United States.[1]James died August 18, 1996 in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky, United States, aged 59. He was buried in Bowling Green Gardens Cemetery, Bowling Green.[2]
