You wrote in your Rosenstengel tag comment "If that's your last name, we are probably related somehow" - would you have information on Rosenstengel family members in Stadtilm, Thuringia? My 4GGM Theodore Franziska has been one of my brick walls for a looong time. There used to be something on her at Geneanet and GEDBAS but what little there was has been deleted by now :(

Hello, That name and location are not ones I have heard before.

I also checked your GEDmatch against my 98 year old father-in-law and found no shared DNA.

Do you have any older relatives who have tested?

Thanks for checking!

Alas!, so far I could not persuade any other relative to take a DNA test (Germans seem to be more reticent on that than Americans). I'll keep you posted if something should come up, and hope you'll do the same :)

Hello 18C3R Meghan,

I am still trying to find out about our close auDNA match on Ancestry. In any case, it's nice to see you on WikiTree.

Best regards, Cousin Marion

"I was given the family notes from my grandfather's cousin, Giles Merritt, of Traverse City, MI. His information goes back to Thomas Merritt born 16 May 1634 in England."

My husband is a descendent of the "Merritts of Rye." His grandmother was Alberta Merritt Hughes, b. 10 Dec 1886, Marlborough, Ulster, NY; daughter of David Morgan Merritt; son of Charles C Merritt, a master carriage builder in Newburgh, NY; son of David I. Merritt & Sarah "Sally" Cropsey; son of Josiah Merritt Esq. & Rachel Sherwood; son of George Merritt & Glorianna Purdy of White Plains/Newburgh, NY; ; son of Samuel Merritt & Elizabeth Underhill; Wethersfield, CT-Rye, Westchester, NY; son of Thomas Merritt & Susan Cromwell (Cranniwell). Our daughter lives in Ulster County where many of the Merritt family settled. Would love to see your notes. My husband is Gary Clough Clough-2154, our daughter is Clough-1054

I meant to get back to Johanna (Jenny aka Holst-303), it's been a busy couple of weeks. I do see some records for her in Sweden so I'll get those in tonight or tomorrow. Also, if I made profiles for other family members, do you want to take them over? You don't have to, I can orphan them once they're all tidy.

Hello, I am sorry but it looks like I did not get back to you on this. Thank you so much for the work you did to add records to my "Jenny". It is especially helpful to have confirmation of her first husband's death and location. I am sorry for taking so long to respond. ~M
Just wanted to let you know I have connected the Defrees lineage for you. If you need to know more about them, I will gladly share. You will need to okay the merge I suggested. Thanks much! Linda Defrees Franks

Would you please review your rejection of the merge of Gagner-50 and Gagner-54. They sure look to me to be the same person. Wife's name is the same.

Meghan,

Thank you for joining in the fun with Team Roses for the Source A Thon! It wouldn't have been the same without you. I hope your fall is going well.

Emma <3

Sorry if I am messing something up I am still trying to figure out this website. I have "Rosenstenghal" circled on my mother's maternal side so I am guessing your husband and I are related on that side. We know almost no one on this side of the family so it is nice to find someone!
