Frank Mellor was born in Cheshire, England.

Frank Mellor was born in 1902 in Hyde, Cheshire, England, United Kingdom, son of James Mellor and Mary Ann Lomas. ^[1]

In 1911 Frank age 9, was living with his parents and siblings in Newton, Hyde, Cheshshire. ^[2] His father died in WW1 in 1915, ^[3] and in 1921 age 19 he was living with his widowed mother and siblings, and working as a Cotton Piecer for Messrs Hyde Spinning Company. ^[4]

Frank age 26, son of James Arthur Mellor, married Florence Byrd age 21 on 1 September 1928 in Newton (near Ashton-under-Lyne), Cheshire, ^{[5] [6]} and in 1939 they were living at 5 Bredbury Street, Hyde. Frank 37 was a Cotton Spinner, wife Florence 31 was a Cotton Weaver, and they have a daughter Barbara. ^[7]

Frank's death (age 84) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1986 in the Stockport district.^[8]
