Biography
Emma Jane Mellen was born in 1874, at Wallaroo, South Australia. She was the daughter of William Alfred Mellen (1852-1893) and Cecelia Head (1853-1918).
Emma married Leonard Herbert Henson (1875-1922) in 1899, at Lucknow, New South Wales.[1] They had at least six children:
- William Joseph Henson (1896-1972)
- Herbert Alfred Henson (1900-1933)
- Alice Cecelia Henson (1903-1964)
- George Frederick Henson (1905-1972)
- Leonard Charles Henson (1911-1978)
- Jessica Edith Henson (1913-1999)
She passed away in 1938, at Albany, Western Australia. Emma is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Albany, Western Australia.[2]
