Mehargue of New Cumberland celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a dinner and reception with family and friends at the Officer's Club at the Naval Support Activity, Hampden Twp. They were married in Santa Ana, Calif. :They met while attending Susquehanna High School. Mr. Mehargue is a retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel. Mrs. Mehargue, the former Janeanne Houseal, is a homemaker.
- They are the parents of Janeanne of Gaithersburg, Md., Judy Kiser of Camp Hill and Susan King of Edmond, Okla.

- Colonel David G. Mehargue, USMC,' retired, 80, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at his home. Colonel Mehargue served his country in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Jane A. Houseal Mehargue; 3 daughters, Jane Anne Mehargue of Gaithersburg, MD, Susan L., wife of Dr. Edward T. King of Edmond, OK and Judy L., wife of Col. John B. Kiser of Camp Hill; 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth J. Kiser and Allison J. Kiser; a sister, Helen, wife of Andrew Crosley of Harrisburg. Services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2004 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Nature Conservancy, Memorial Account #10792410, Col. David G. Mehargue, 4245 W. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
