Biography

Joseph Medcalf was born in 1840 in New South Wales, Australia, the son of Ruth Medcalf and Joseph Medcalf.^[1]

For nearly 20 years, Joseph was an alderman of Redern Municipality and he was mayor on two occasions.^[2]

He married Ellen Harris in 1865 in Sydney, New South Wales.^[3] Their daughter was:

• Ella Mabel Medcalf (1877–?)^[4]

Joseph died in 1916 in New South Wales.^[2]
