Regarding changes made to the name on this pre-1700 profile:

Marte McPherson edited the Middle Name and Current Last Name for Alice (Unknown) Pemberton (abt.1612-aft.1642). (Adding sources. Family tree ID GVQ9-8ZM)

An unsourced family tree, regardless of its origin, is not considered a reliable source. This particular tree has no attached sources to verify, so changing her name is not prudent and has been reverted by the PGM Project. Please review Help: Pre-1700 Profiles and PGM's Reliable Sources list for ideas on sources to use on these historical profiles.
