Biography
Della (McLeod) Terry is a part of US Black heritage.
Della was born about 1895 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of David McLeod and Annie Peterkin.
In the 1900 census Della (age 10), Student, was the daughter of David McLeod in Brownsville, Marlboro, South Carolina.[1]
Della married John Terry around 1909. In the 1910 census Della (age 18), Farm Laborer, was the wife of John Terry in Adamsville, Marlboro, South Carolina, United States.[2]
In the 1920 census Della (age 27), Home, was the wife of John Terry in Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina. They had 4 children at home.[3]
In the 1940 census Della (age 41) was the wife of John Terry in Petersburg, Petersburg City, Virginia. They had two children at home.[4]
Della died (age 64) on 12 June 1960 in Petersburg, Virginia, United States.[5] According to her death certificate she was buried in Peoples Memorial Cemetery in Petersburg, Virginia.
