Hello!

I was working on a very old couple in my ancestry, James Tute and Keziah Carey, and I have notes on Keziah's parents (uncertain). That family was really in the most distress during a normal time (i.e. not Witch Trials) I have ever seen in my 25+ years of doing this. Evidently they were paupers who hung around and lived off of charity and had a family while doing so- a real mess. Further research needs to be done if possible, but it makes sense for uncertain parents.

So I see that we are connected through John Clark and Elizabeth Cooke and possibly other ways and it's really interesting the name "Sumner" is used because I have a lot of Sumner ancestry.

My 3rd great grandfather, Oscar Tourson, lived in Northfield, MN at the same time your ancestors lived there- Edwin Drake I believe. It's pretty bizarre that I stumbled upon that... I don't see many people have ancestors from Rice and Dakota counties, much less Northfield. Evidently they were also there when Jesse James and his gang robbed the bank in 1877! He lived there for many years after until he moved to Farmington, MN very late in life and I have two newspaper letters to the editor from him from 1904, both say Northfield, MN.

If I run across anything that could help you, I'll pass it on.

Hello,

You recently changed the parents for Cornelius Ryan Jr (Ryan-9650). The parents that were originally attached to them were the correct parents. I have my sources listed on their respective pages. If you think the parents are duplicates, please look over the profiles and suggest merges.

Thank you,

Emily

Hi. Me again. Still working on William Holden, LNAB should be Holder. Problem seems to be having him married to Susan Wren. I propose creating a new William Holder who was a man of great stature and childless. Then removing William Holden from Susan and restoring the date of birth he first had. Seems to have resulted from a bad merge. What do you think?

Hi, David. Could you have a look at Christopher Holder? He cannot have been the son of that William Holder who married Susan Wren as Christopher was born before William.

Hi David, I've been researching Antoine Maisonneuve for many years.( 3rd great grandfather) ( Do you have any actual proof that his parents were Marguerite Filion and Jean Baptiste? I search on Ancestry but can't find any record of Antoine's birth. . Any help is greatly appreciated
Hi, David. Can you have a look at Susanna Wren? Seems we have her married to the wrong man. I have added the sources for baptism and marriage which are unfortunately Ancestry text only. Wikipedia source for her husband added also Cambridge Alumni which makes it clear, I think. I've contacted Gail as well.

Hi David,

Your 'thank you' inspired me, so I added some content to William Palmer.

We are not descendants - the Palmer family of Rehoboth and Stonington are my husband's ancestors, so I stumbled onto William in trying to sort out them out.

One always has something new to learn - in this case, about coopers. We have some coopers in our tree - I didn't know it was such a complex and skilled trade.
