She married George Winfield Hicks on 19 January 1908, in Noble, Cleveland, Oklahoma, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. She lived in Clifton, Mesa, Colorado, United States in 1930 and Palisade, Mesa, Colorado, United States for about 5 years. She died on 2 October 1945, in Pomona, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles, California, United States.

MRS. THULA F. HICKS

Mrs. George W. Hicks, 64, of 1030 E. 5th avenue, passed away suddenly at the family home Tuesday afternoon. Born in Niangua, Mo., July 23, 1881, she was married to George W. Hicks in Noble, Okla., on January 15, 1906. They moved to Palisades, Colo., where they resided until May of this year at which time they moved to Pomona. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Palisades.

She is survived by her husband, two daughter, Mrs. Edith Pierce, of Pomona, and Mrs. Pearl Hamilton, of El Monte; five sons, Earl Hicks and Lawrence Hicks, Grand Junction, Colo.; Carl Hicks of Park Ridge, Ill.; James Hicks, of El Monte, and Elmer Hicks, of the U.S. armed forces, Camp Roberts, Calif., and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced later by the Blackman Funeral chapel, 1020 W. 5th avenue.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thula F. Hicks, 64, wife of George W. Hicks, who passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon at the family home, 1030 E. 5th avenue, will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Rosehill chapel, Whittier. The Rev. C. F. Croy will officiate. Interment will be made in Rosehill Memorial park. Blackman funeral chapel is in charge of arrangements.
