GRAVESIDE RITES WEDNESDAY FOR BARTLEY MAGUIRE SUNDAY

Bartley Wayland MaGuire, died Sunday October 21 at Dayton, Ohio. In recent years he had made his home with his niece, Jane McGuire at Dayton. He was born August 12, 1885, the son of Michael Maguire and Mary Elizabeth Walker Maguire. Mr. Maguire served in France during World War I. He also served in the Mexican Border Incident under the command of General "Black Jack" Pershing. Mr. Maguire commanded Company L at Ladoga for a number of years. He was a member of Indiana National Guard. He was also Commander of the Security Guard at the 500 Mile Races at the Speedway several years. His wife, Florence preceded him in death. Survivors are his two sisters, Mary E. Hughes of Spencer and Susie Holsapple of Florida, and one brother, Anthony Maguire of Spencer. Interment services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Riverside Cemetery. Military graveside rites were conducted by the Call-Payton Post of the American Legion.
