Biography
James McGrew was born about 1765 to Simon McGrew and Martha McKnight in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He took out land in Butler County, Pennsylvania by 1803, and married Jane Dick, daughter of William Dick, another early pioneer to Butler County[1]. James passed away in 1817.
