George was born in Canandaigua, New York. He married Ida VanLeuvan (1869-1942) in Mt Pleasant, Isabella Co, Michigan May 12, 1890. They had 1 daughter, Treva Elizabeth who died as an infant in 1905. George died in 1935 and is buried in Green Cemetary, Strickland MI with his wife and infant daughter.
