George was born in 1909 in Mantoba, son of John McDougall and Margaret Brydon. He joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and was a member of the famous "Musical Ride". He earned marksman badges for both rifle and pistol and served most of his police career in New Brunswick. In 1942 he married Virginia Webber and they had a daughter Margaret Ann. He was awarded the RCMP Long Service and Good Conduct Medal with 25 Year Bronze Clasp and Star. Following retirement he resided in Moncton, and later, Riverview, NB. He passed away in 1981. Per his wishes he was cremated and his ashes were scattered.
