Ivy Ernestine McDonald was born on 12th September 1893 in Charters Towers, Queensland (Australia). She was the only child of Charles McDonald, a watchmaker and politician, [1] and Mary Ann Tregear. [2]
Ivy married decorated Austalian Army veteran Horace Brinsmead on 8th December 1920 in the Presbyterian Ladies’ College, East Melbourne. [3]
Aged 46 years, she passed away in 1940 in Hawthorn, Victoria. [4]
